While the weather in England is not always conducive to picnics, the act of driving to a field or beach, laying a checked blanket on the damp grass or sand, and eating sandwiches while the wind whips your face and the kettle warms hopefully on the burner is decidedly English. While recently leafing through a family album, our creative director came across photos of her parents and their friends in the late ‘50s. Surrounded by vintage cars and picnic sets, the silhouettes from that time period felt fresh and optimistic, which inspired the essence of the Summer Collection.

Flared skirts complement shrunken sweaters, and cropped pants and pleated A-line dresses or tops feel fresh and feminine. Red and white handkerchief border stripes with monograms and navy checks lend themselves to a certain naivety of that time.

Turtlenecks and pleated skirts add a ladylike flair, which is grounded by suede blazers and nylon bombers.

Endless mix-and-match possibilities across the collection create ease and flexibility for summer travel or the celebration of picnics in a park or back garden.
