Women's Fall 2023 Lookbook

Amsterdam artist Peggy Kuiper recently shifted directions — a vibrant portfolio of editorial photography began to transform into an impressive gallery of bold painted portraits. Her artistic instinct evident in palettes of soft neutrals splashed with a rich emerald green hue or striking lipstick red. Clean lines that draw the eye to unexpected plays on proportions and angles. For her, this new path felt natural.

Much like Kuiper, we find ourselves shifting into new creative energies this Fall. Our foundations remain concrete — unmatched fabrications, simplicity of dressing, attention to every little detail continue to define who we are.

An emphasis on fit and tailoring persist, but in new ways: we trade in fluid midis for slim pencil skirts. Dresses flatter through bias seams. Sweaters and cardigans are cropped and cut closer to the body. V-necks sit higher to the collarbone. Knits boast a second-skin feel for easy transitional layering.

Suiting is sleek and timeless, as both a set and mixed with other pieces. Balanced by wide-leg trousers, relaxed cargo pants and oversized coats, the combinations evoke an effortless ‘90s sensibility that feels relevant for now.

Our heritage informs this season’s color focus — gray, a neutral with rare appearances the past few years, is prominent again in shades of heathered charcoal, flint, shale stone, and silver. Vermillion red commands attention on a satin slip skirt and V-neck sweater, and acts as a more subtle accent on a tan ribbed turtleneck.

Both sides of the spectrum are grounded in delicious moody tones of cherry wine, nut and fig.

Our textural canvas features familiar favorites — plush cashmeres, exceptional wool blends, buttery leathers that get better with age — and a handful of unexpected materials sprinkled into the mix: sleek pony hair and brushed houndstooth silk, lustrous panné velvet and begonia-embellished tulle fit for holiday fêtes.

While the Fall 2023 collection explores new destinations, it remains true to what elevates Vince above the rest — designs that endure the test of time, trends and taste.
